David Buck is the founder and CEO of Simberon. With a Master's degree in Computer Science, he has been active in the software development world for over 20 years.
David worked with The Object People for 7 years delivering courses on Smalltalk and Object Oriented Concepts, Analysis, and Design as well as consulting for various companies across North America. He has experience developing software for telephony, life insurance, shipping, home and auto insurance, and financial services.
David is well known in the Smalltalk community and is an executive member of the Ottawa Smalltalk Users Group as well as the Ottawa .NET Users Group.
David wrote ElastoLab - an educational physics program for kids. He is also known as the creator of DKBTrace and an original author of POV-Ray.
Dave Thomas has over 30 years of experience in the Information Technology industry first as a Professor at Carleton University, and then as the founder and chief executive of Object Technology International (www.oti.com). In recent years, he has been instrumental in assisting small and mid-sized high tech organizations to re-position for growth by serving on their Boards or as an advisor to the management team. He is currently Chairman and CEO of Bedarra Corporation and Online-learning.com. Dave has served on the board of directors for IBM OTI, AmikaNOW!, Bluezone, Stilo and WatAge, and as advisor to numerous other companies including Beachtech, Hewson Bridges Smith, ICHU, Objectime, Transform Research, Windward Systems, Jaczone, Bitflash, Softv, Object Mentor and Gentleware. He has been a key advisor to the founders at Objective Systems and Pallaido Software (both acquired by Rational), Knowledge Systems Corporation, Digital Composition Systems Inc, Dy-4 Systems and Omnimark. He has served as a reviewer for NSERC strategic grants, and participated in a variety of industry university initiatives including OCRI, TRIO, ITRC, CITO and SERC. He is active in international standards committees in software technology and is widely published in the software engineering literature. In recognition of his pioneering work in object technology, Dave was elected to the IBM Academy.
John Pugh is the founder and former CEO of The Object People - an object oriented training and consulting company.
